Campus and community resources for students learn about basic safety in the form of home first aid, child passenger safety laws and natural disasters.

County Alert Systems

Sign up for  Tuolumne County Office of Emergency Services Emergency Alert System  to be notified of threats and emergency warnings (including evacuation orders in the case of a wildfire).

 Basic First Aid Resources

  • National Safety Council
    The National Safety Council is a nonprofit group that has several resources available online to promote safety. Their  First Aid Video library  is free and covers topics such as first aid, CPR, burn care, concussions, and other health-related educational topics. There are also videos related to pediatric first aid and basic life support.   

Child Passenger Safety Programs

  • Tuolumne County Keep Baby Safe Program
    Tuolumne County Public Health offers free car sear classes once per month. Participants will receive a $20 Walmart coupon towards a booster seat or convertible. For more information, call (209) 533-7464.   

  • Calaveras County Child Passenger Safety Program
    Calaveras County Public Health provides car seat assessments, education, fittings, and replacement seats through a certified car seat technician. For more information, call Public Health at (209) 754-6460 or CHP San Andreas at (209) 754-3541.
