The Mission of the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is to examine the institution with a critical lens by acknowledging our diversity, creating a culture of unity, developing equitable practices and promoting an inclusive environment.
The Common Reader Project- Each year a new text is chosen for the entire campus to read, share, learn, explore, and craft meaning as a shared community. We invite ALL Columbia community members to jump in and learn from each other!
Please contact Sean Osborn for more information on this year's text (2021-22): "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks", by Rebecca Skloot. Free copies for staff and all students are available.
