Columbia College Research and Planning

How to access research, data, and other information

The best places to find information about the college include the Data Dashboards which allows users to filter data across metrics, the Research Briefs / Presentations for reports on special topics, and external data sources. You can find a list of useful external data sources on the Research and Planning Links webpage under the External Data dropdown.

Not seeing what you’re looking for? Contact the Research and Planning Office! Depending on the request, we may ask to follow up with additional question. Please plan ahead! Conducting new research or gathering data may take several days or weeks. Be sure to contact us as soon as you begin planning your project, or as soon as you know that you will need to collect data.

Planning surveys, research, and other types of data gathering at Columbia College?

Columbia College maintains a Human Subjects Research Protection (HSRP) policy and administers its Institutional Review Board (IRB) based on the Common Rule (i.e., the Code of Federal Regulations 45 CFR Part 46, and see Yosemite Community College District Policy 4-8074). Anyone intending to gather information of any sort on the Columbia College campus or from Columbia College’s community members (i.e., students, faculty, staff, and partners) should consult with the Research and Planning Office prior to beginning any data collection, and should not proceed without an approval or referral.
