Columbia College is a beautiful and diverse habitat and our campus hosts many animals species, including the elusive and majestic mountain lion. Although rare, mountain lion sightings are reported on campus. They often consist of a fleeting glimpse of the feline or a mother lion with her cub. Gaining a better understanding of mountain lions and their habits will increase our ability to safely maintain a balanced ecosystem.
