The Columbia College Academic Achievement Center (AAC) serves the entire Columbia College student body. Our primary goal is to assist students in becoming more independent, efficient, and effective learners. We are here to help students improve their academic skills and aid in their academic success.
AAC Mission Statement
The Columbia College Academic Achievement Center assists students in becoming more efficient and effective learners. We are here to help students improve their academic skills and aid in their academic success. The Academic Achievement Center is an integral part of the campus community, interacting with faculty, staff, and students to provide a range of services designed to meet individual needs.
Spring 2021 Tutoring services are fully online!
Online Tutoring with the Academic Achievement Center is LIVE! AAC peer tutors (Zuters: Zoom Tutors!) will be meeting students online using an AAC Zoom Room located here: https://cccconfer.zoom.us/j/7234061327
You can check out the current Tutor Schedule by Subject and AAC Embedded Tutor Schedule to see what courses we are directly supporting fully online. The schedules will continue to be updated weekly. We have online embedded tutors in over 45 different sections! If a course does not have an online embedded tutor, students can still access online tutoring in many subjects a few ways:
Peer Tutoring at the AAC
The AAC employs trained peer tutors who have excelled in the classes they tutor and have been recommended by Columbia College faculty. AAC tutors were once in your place and can help you learn strategies to succeed.
Individual, half hour and hour online tutoring appointments can be made with the AAC by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling (209) 588-5088 during regular AAC hours. All tutoring is free of charge to registered Columbia College students.
To cancel or reschedule an appointment, please call 588-5088 or email at least two hours before the appointment.
AAC No-Show Policy: Failure to cancel an appointment at least two hours before the appointment or arriving more than ten minutes late to an appointment is considered a "No-Show." Two No-Shows will result in the loss of tutoring privileges for the semester. Please note: Early morning appointments must still be cancelled with two hours' notice to avoid a No-Show. Call 588-5088 to leave a message.
Online Tutoring through NetTutor
The AAC also offers, for a fee, test proctoring services to individuals who are taking courses through another educational institution. For more information please call (209) 588-5177. Currently Test Proctoring services are unavailable, check back for updates.
