Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS)
EOPS was established by the California State Legislature in 1969. It is administered through the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office and exists in all community college in California. The state provides funds to EOPS programs so that they may offer valuable student services that support academic success and goal attainment.
Fall 2014 Intake dates/times (drop-in only)
Monday, August 18 8:30am – 3:30pm
Tuesday, August 19 8:30am – 1:00pm & 2:00pm – 4:30pm
Wednesday, August 20 8:00am – 11:30am & 12:30pm – 2:00pm
Monday, August 25 8:30am – 5:30pm
Tuesday, August 26 8:30am – 5:00pm
Wednesday, August 27 8:30am – 3:30pm
Thursday, August 28 8:30am – 3:30pm
Friday, August 29 8:30am – 3:30pm
Students who are dually enrolled in TRiO and EOPS can complete intake during any of the above listed times, but are encouraged to come and meet with Tracey Potts, the new TRiO counselor, for their intake on the following days/times:
Tuesday, August 19 8:00am – 11:30am
Thursday, August 21 1:30pm – 4:00pm
Tuesday, August 26 8:00am – 11:30pm & 12:30pm – 4:00pm
Thursday, August 28 10:30am – 11:30am & 12:30pm – 4:00pm
You must be registered with at least 12 units in Fall 2014 in order to be qualified for EOPS (some exceptions may apply).

Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE)
The State of California established the Cooperative Agencies Resources for Education (CARE) program in the California community colleges as "a unique educational program geared toward the welfare recipient who desires job-relevant education to break the dependency cycle."
