Health career workers, like nurses and nutritionists, are in high demand and Columbia College offers many programs to prepare you.   • Modesto Junior College offers a cohort of their Nursing (RN) program on the Columbia College campus. Please refer to the MJC Allied Health website for more details about this program, as well as other programs at MJC including Medical Assisting, Home Health Aide, CNA and Respiratory Care.

We call it a Launchpad... a group of classes that will get you exploring and moving toward your goals, even if you are still trying to figure out what those specific goals are!

Launchpad: Health Care (14-15 units)
  • ENGL 1A - English Composition (3 units)
  • MATH 2 - Statistics (4 units)
  • BIOL 50 - Nutrition (3 units)
  • Chemistry course (select one)
    • CHEM 14 & 14L - Fundamental Chemistry for Allied Health & Lab (4 units)
    • CHEM 2A & 2AL - General Chemistry I & Lab (5 units)
