Complete a 2022-2023 Financial Aid Application or speak to your
Financial Aid Specialist.
3. REGISTER
Register for Summer/Fall 2022 Courses. Summer
open enrollment begins April 18th, 2022.
Fall open enrollment begins June 6th, 2022.

HOW DO I APPLY TO COLUMBIA COLLEGE?
Go to the admissions registration and submit an application. Columbia College will receive your application
electronically and send updates to your @my.yosemite.edu email account. Skip this step if you are a returning
student who has attended Columbia College in the last 12 months.
I DON'T THINK I QUALIFY FOR FINANCIAL AID. SHOULD I APPLY?
Yes, everyone should complete a financial aid application, or talk to your Financial Aid Specialist. Additional
grants may be available to students who complete a financial aid application and enroll in at least 3 units.
WHICH FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION SHOULD I COMPLETE?*
There are three application options available for students to complete. These include the FAFSA, CADAA or
CCPG. For information regarding which applications fits your situation, visit FAFSA vs CADAA.If you are unable
to complete any of the above applications, talk to your Financial Aid Specialist. Last names A - L, call (209)

HOW MANY COURSES CAN I TAKE FOR FREE IN SUMMER/FALL 2022?
There is no maximum (or minimum) number of free tuition courses for Summer/Fall 2022. For help registering

I AM A HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT ENROLLED AT COLUMBIA COLLEGE. DO I QUALIFY?
Yes. Dual Enrollment students are eligible for free tuition but are not eligible for financial aid grants.
DO I HAVE TO BE A CITIZEN TO GET FREE TUITION?
There is no citizenship or residency requirement for participation in the free tuition program.
I'VE REGISTERED FOR FREE COURSES. WHY DO I SEE A BALANCE DUE ON MY ACCOUNT?
Students will see a balance due on their account until it has been verified they have completed the required
financial aid steps to qualify for free tuition. Once verified, the account balance will be eliminated.
I AM TAKING SUMMER 2022 COURSES AT COLUMBIA AND MJC, ARE MJC COURSE
FREE AS WELL?
This promotion is ONLY for Columbia College courses during Summer 2022.
I AM TAKING FALL 2022 COURSES AT COLUMBIA AND MJC, ARE MJC COURSE FREE AS WELL?
During the Fall 2022 semester, ALL courses at Columbia will be free. Courses at MJC will also be free until funds
are exhausted.
*Students are required to complete one of the three options for Financial Aid, BUT you do NOT have to be
financially eligible. Reach out to the Financial Aid Office for help.
