Information about English 1C Online

English 1C Online, Critical Reasoning and Composition, is a fully online course. There are no face-to-face class meetings. Students who are enrolled in the course will find an online orientation, a “Frequently Asked Questions” section at the end of the orientation, and a detailed course syllabus, complete with a week-by-week listing of assigned readings and writings in the course website. Access to the website will be allowed to enrolled students shortly before the semester begins. In the meantime, if you have any questions contact the instructor.

Please note that there will be several Blackboard Student Orientations for the spring semester. These orientations are not course specific. They are to provide you with general guidelines and common practices for participating in an online course. Orientations are offered on the following days and times in the ITC which is located in the Tamarack Building. Enrollment in my English1C online course does not require that you attend an orientation; however, if you are not familiar with doing coursework in an online environment, I strongly suggest that you attend one of the orientations as early in the semester as possible.
