Columbia College President's Message

Columbia College welcomes you.   The staff and faculty of the college are dedicated to serving you and guiding you toward success in your educational endeavors. But you must do your part. Familiarize yourself with all the procedures, develop your plans, and register in classes that are related to your goals and special interests.

Regardless of your educational background, Columbia College is prepared to meet you where you are academically and lead you forward from there. If you are seeking education and training in job-related and technical areas, you have chosen the right place. Likewise, if your goal is a four-year degree, you can complete your first two years here and transfer as a junior to the four-year university of your choice. In this case, remember it is often more important to know where you are going than it is to know what your major will be when you get there. Stated differently many four-year schools have unique general education requirements; study the requirements of the university of your choice and take the designated courses to meet those requirements.

Beyond the class room Columbia College has much to offer through student activities that will enhance your educational and personal development.
