The Made in the Foothills Writers' Series
The Made in the Foothills Writers' Series is committed to highlighting the works of distinguished writers to feature the Foothill's diverse voices. The series showcases poetry, creative nonfiction, fiction, and essays by local writers with the aim of encouraging the recognition of the area's artistic and cultural heritage.
Made in the Foothills is a chance for local writers to read their published work, speak about their writing experiences, and engage in a dialogue with students regarding the writing process. All Made in the Foothills events are open and free to the public and typically last one to two hours.Columbia College students read and recite their favorite poems at the Made in the Foothills April Poetry Night.
