REGISTERED NURSE II
|
Under the general supervision of the Vice President, Business & Finance, and day-to-day lead direction of the Medical Chief of Staff, this position will provide skilled nursing care in areas of health screening and prevention, health assessment, health education, promotion and emergency first aid care to students; perform administrative functions and coordinate nursing clinical activities
|
Graduation from high school or the equivalent plus completion of a professional nursing program in an approved school of nursing or by additional preparation as approved by the California Board of Registered Nursing.
? Full-time equivalent of at least one year of professional nursing experience which has provided evidence of the ability to work independently in specialized nursing activities and to support the overall nursing program within the Student Health Center, required.
? One year experience as a Registered Nurse in an ambulatory setting and minimum of two years progressively responsible experience as an RN in a clinical or hospital setting, preferred.

Health Care Manager
|
The Health Care Manager should relate well to groups of young people and enjoy outdoor activities, fresh air, and beautiful mountain scenery. They should be able to function independently and accept the responsibilitiy of the camp health care program. They are responsible for the daily health care needs of campers and staff members, including first aid and dispensing medications; keeping a log of Health Center visits; giving support advice to counselors and other camp staff, if requested; training campers and staff in safety policies and procedures; and identifying health problems serious enough to require a physician’s attention. This position requires an onsite residence commitment from June through mid-August 2013.

State license or registered as a L.V.N., P.A., R.N. or M.D. or Certified EMT Minimum age is 21
Current First Aid training and CPR.
