Friends of Columbia College,
As a lifelong resident of Tuolumne County, I encourage your support for Columbia College. I firmly believe that the college is one of our major assets that we have to offer in this community. As a business person, the college is invaluable to all of us. One of its main goals is training employees for our local workforce by giving our youth the education that they need to get jobs. Over the past 40 years that Columbia College has been serving our community, thousands of students have benefited by the high-quality education and workforce training provided by its outstanding faulty. The education and training provide by Columbia College makes our community a better place to live.
The Columbia College Foundation is made up of a volunteer board of community leaders who serve as the board of directors. This board, along with hundreds of supporters, all of whom are dedicated to enhancing and sustaining the educational experience at Columbia College, support the college through their donations and/or fundraising efforts. When I discovered how I could really make a difference in the lives of those around me by encouraging higher education, I got involved in the foundation. Your donations will go toward student scholarships, program support, and equipment purchases that would otherwise be impossible -- because public funding does not cover all the needs of the college. A college education for our youth is a direct way that we can make our home in the foothills an enjoyable, safe and healthy place for us today and for generations to come. Further, an institution that provides lifelong learning opportunities for its residents enriches us all.
I am proud to serve as president of the Columbia College Foundation. I think it is very necessary that we get involved with or local community college. Please join me in supporting the Columbia College Foundation. We could use your support in reaching our goals to further Columbia College's commitment in providing quality education to the residents of our local community.
Thank you for helping,
Randy Selesia
