1st Place – Outstanding Senate Website Award – 2013

Given to Columbia College by 4CS: California Community Colleges Classified Senate

Columbia College Classified Senate redesigned their website in December 2012 and entered the Outstanding Senate Website competition with the California Community Colleges Classified Senate (4CS) and were awarded 1st place in June 2013. According to the 4CS website, "the Outstanding Website Award recognizes the best classified senate websites based on criteria in the areas of resources, materials, photos, navigation ease and appearance. The 'Outstanding' websites will be recognized at the Classified Leadership Institute (CLI) each year."

YCCD Classified Employee of the Year 2012

Dave Chesnut was honored by the YCCD Board of Trustees at their April 2012 meeting as the District nominee to be forwarded to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors (BOG), the State Chancellor's Office and the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC) for the Annual Classified Employees of the Year Award which recognizes outstanding classified staff throughout the community college system.

YCCD Classified Employee of the Year 2010

Doralyn Foletti was nominated by the Board of Trustees for the Annual Classified Employees of the Year Award in 2010. This award recognizes outstanding classified staff through the community college system. Doralyn was the YCCD classified staff member submitted to the California Community Colleges Board of Governors (BOG), the State Chancellor's Office, and the Foundation for California Community Colleges (FCCC) for the recognition.

She was announced by the Board of Governors for California Community Colleges as one of five 2010 Classified Employee of the Year Award winners in the State of California.

Model Senate Award – 2009

Given to Columbia College by 4CS: California Community Colleges Classified Senate

Columbia College Classified Senate was presented the Model Senate Award in 2009. According to the California Community Colleges Classified Senate (4CS), "Model Classified Senates define the standard of staff participation within the learning environment for California community college students; encourage staff leaders to become stronger, and offer reference and experience for novice organizations and those seeking organizational revitalization."
