Extended Opportunity Programs and Services

Mission Statement

The primary program goal of Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) is to encourage the enrollment, retention and transfer of students challenged by language, social, economic and educational disadvantages, and to facilitate the successful completion of their goals and objectives in college.  EOPS offers academic and financial assistance in addition to other support services.

About EOPS

EOPS was established by the California State Legislature in 1969.  It is administered through the California Community Colleges Chancellor's Office and exists in all community college in California.  The state provides funds to EOPS programs so that they may offer valuable student services that support academic success and goal attainment.

EOPS Application

You may download the EOPS application and submit it to the EOPS Office during the enrollment period.  Before submission, you must:

Student Success Skills Assessment

EOPS counselors will assess EOPS student readiness for academic success. Assessments will be used to make appropriate referrals to resources.
